How we choose caterers
CateringRoma.it is an independent editorial guide: 153 profiles, all written by our editors and checked against each company's official website.
Who gets into the guide
We publish a profile when a caterer meets all of these criteria:
- it works in Rome or the surrounding province, with premises or a stated service in the city;
- it has a working official website, which we use to check services and contacts;
- it caters events regularly (weddings, companies, parties, ceremonies), not only occasional deliveries;
- it is identifiable: name, contact details and business match what can be found online.
Being in the guide costs nothing and no one can buy a position: lists are in alphabetical order.
Where the data comes from
Every piece of information in a profile (occasions, specialities, services, venues managed, founding year, contacts) comes from the caterer's official website. If something is not stated there, it is not in the profile. We do not publish stars, scores or reviews taken from other sites, and we do not use caterers' photos without their permission.
The descriptions are our own: they sum up what each company does in our words, without copying text from their websites. The guides always cite their sources for prices and rules.
Updates and corrections
We check the profiles again regularly. If you own a catering company and find a mistake, or want to be added, write to us from the for caterers page: we correct it within a few days.
How the site is funded
The service is free for anyone planning an event. Quote requests sent through the form are passed to caterers that fit; in future we may ask caterers for a contribution for the requests they receive. If there is ever promotional space, it will be clearly labelled and will not change the order of the lists.

Who decides which caterers get into the guide?
The CateringRoma.it editors, using fixed criteria: premises or a stated service in Rome or the province, a working official website, events catered regularly and details that match what can be found online.
Can a caterer pay to be listed higher?
No. Lists are in alphabetical order and the profile is free. If there is ever promotional space, it will be clearly labelled and will not change the order of the lists.
Why are there no stars or reviews in the profiles?
We only publish what the caterer states on its official website. Scores and reviews taken from other sites cannot be checked, so we leave them out.
I found a mistake in a profile: what should I do?
Write to us from the for caterers page, naming the profile and the detail to correct: we check it against the official website and update the profile within a few days.
How is CateringRoma.it funded?
The service is free for anyone planning an event. In future we may ask caterers for a contribution for the quote requests they receive, without changing the selection criteria.
